Golden glow

Transience

My need to paint lived-in faces probably also has to do with my age. This is not to say that I am always pleased by new wrinkles in my reflection, but they tell me much more than a nice smooth face.

They tell me that you are alive and have lived, that you carry history, and that you have lived through and survived beautiful and difficult moments. As long as the twinkles in the eyes remain visible. I love sitting next to such a person, hanging on his or her every word. What brought you here, what is your story....
